Rev Jules A. Barnes, Priest-in-charge

Jules was licensed as Priest In Charge of the Parish of Warnham on October 5th 2016 by the Bishop of Chichester. Please see here for photos of the happy occasion.


Having worked in the NHS, Easy Jet and the Stock Market, Jules was ordained and served her curacy in Wiltshire. She was then Chaplain to the Bishop of Bristol before moving to Warnham.


Michael Burgess, Churchwarden

Michael was baptised at St Margaret’s and was presented by the Parish for entry to Christs Hospital School in 1956. After 7 years there he spent 50 years in the pensions industry. He is in virtual retirement but has many interests and leads a busy life. He is married to Carole; they have five children and five grandchildren.


Richard Smillie, Churchwarden

Richard was born in Glasgow but was brought up in Islington, north London, and lived there for almost fifty years. He has lived in Warnham for over 10 years. He worked in council housing and later as chief executive of a number of housing associations. Retiring  in his late fifties he then worked part time for A Rocha, a Christian environmental organisation, in an advisory role. Now fully retired, he has lived in Warnham for over ten years. He is married to Linda and has two adult children and one grandchild.

PAUL SIMPSON, Director of music

Paul has been a choir trainer for nearly 40 years at churches in South London, Surrey and West Sussex, and runs a community choir near his home in Hassocks. He is working on building both the Junior and Adult Choirs so if you enjoy singing, whatever your age, why not come along?
