Who can be baptised in Warnham?

We gladly baptise anybody who lives in the parish, or who has a meaningful connection with St Margaret’s Church.

Adults wishing to be baptised must either live in the Parish of Warnham or have worshipped regularly (at least once a month) in the Church for six months.

For children you must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Your parents live in the Parish of Warnham.
  • Your parents are on the Church electoral (membership) roll.
  • Your parents have attended Church at least once a month for six months or at least twice a month for three months before your christening.
  • You go to Warnham Primary School.
  • You have been a member of a church club for children or young people for at least a year.
  • Your grandparents are on the Church electoral (membership) roll and have been to Church at least once a month for twelve months before your christening: and your parents can demonstrate that they are in touch with their local church and that the clergy there are aware that you are being baptised in Warnham.
  • Your grandparents live in the Parish; your parents live abroad and are able to demonstrate that they are not within reasonable reach of a Christian church in communion with the Church of England.
